I"m not sure I understand what you are wanting... Are you wanting some ideas to market your website that is like amazon?
This is what i consult most of my cleints in website promotion!So i am going to give you 3 options and how you decided to use them is all up to you.1) Everyone knows that amazon has more money then you and thats a fact so dont get bent becasue I said it straight forward. Im pretty sure you dont have a $10,000,000 budget to work with or anywhere near but Im nore sure. The first method really depends on your advertsing budget. You can spend $1000 and get some good returns or sometimes even $100 and make some good returns. Send postcards to demograhical zip codes or towns. When i say demographical i mean take the time to research waht type of people buy on amazon and try to locate those people around your town first. Start as a 'test' by making a flyer and leaving it at peoples doors around a certain neighborhood. No joke this is probably one of the best ways to get new cleints in a matter of minutes! Then you start to scale up. Direct mail is always a win IF YOU DO YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC RESEARCH! I cannot stretch that any further. For example - > i was helping a local lawn specialist to get his business of the ground. I told him to do this very same method and he send over 1,000 post cards. He got 9 calls and 0 leads! Thats right 0 sales!! I talked to him and said what did you do? We went around the town where he send the cards and it was low income and the houses werent in really good shape! They werent PAYING customers. I sat back and went through the next town that was middle to upper class. We sent 250 post cards and he was FLOODED with calls! The next day he got over 43 new clients that wanted to hire/talk to him about landscaping. DEMOGRPHICS MATTER!2) Do you know why most actors and websites are around today? THey have a HUGE following on a HUGE network! Those people have an amazng social media backing! Its not that hard to get yourself in the public eye! All you need to do is structure out a marketing plan to get infront of 100,000 new people per month using facebook and twitter. These days facebook is a little hard but twitter is still a goldmine for new clients! If you are persisitant with facebook and other social media out looks then you are going to eventually 'find the gold'3) List borrowing - ask someone with a huge list to rent out list space or do a profit deal. I know this works becasue a client that I had came to me with about $5,000 in spending and I told him to blow it all on list renting. I knew with that he was doing that list renting would work but I didnt know how well it was going to work! We found a list broker who got as a FANTASTIC deal! $4,500 for a list of 1.9 million. 1 email as a test and then normal emailings were $10,000! We emails and that same day my cleint made over 450,000 sales of his kindle book at $3. Was it worth it? Yes becasue these lists are niche specific!!! He targeted a niche that already was in the mindset of buying! Can you strike a deal like this again? Possibly. For myself if you do ever find a deal like thos again, please let me know as well. But if you have the time and the loose cash this is the easiest way to get MANY customers. I would also suggest that you capture these peoples info such as name and email. You can do more damage yourself with your own email list.Hope that helps ad good luck!
If you have not yet done your keyword research, I'd start there. Also, consider what products you want to promote. Look at the demand for that product on Amazon...how many orders, what kind of reviews and is there any search volume for those keywords.
