    I need a bit more details but essentially it largely depends on the provider you will be using to send the SMS

    Most of these have their own API so I can not really give you a demo.

    I use to use one but can not for the life of me remember the address of company.

    The code simply was

    $sms->sendSMS($content, $number, $sender);

    I will search today.

    It cost something like 0.08 per sms which was dirt cheap so i used it to send SMS from work instead of increasing my phonebill!

    What type of script are you wanting to write? A stand alone site or just a simple sender page for an existing site?

    I can give you full SMS capability for your site. Approx. $0.08 per message, even cheaper - depending on how much you want to send monthly. I have a website for end-users www.justsms.net, but I can give you out of the box PHP code to integrate seamlessly into your site.

    There's different ways to send a text message to a phone. I won't reveal the free way as that would be more competition for me :p. But as DPTony said it involve emailing. The second way is there's sites that charge say $0.08 a message.
