I agree with ez-online-money.com's reply - write good articles with relevant search terms for your niche and get them published on credible sites.

Also, genuine testimonials for great products or services can help. I sent a very prominent AdWords expert a thank you email with some kind words on his product and it was used in his testimonials (along side testimonials from Seth Godin, Jill Whelan, etc). That one link is now on hundreds of affiliate sites that sell his product and it has been a great source of traffic for several years.
