Okay so I'm currently hosted with YeahHost on their promo of $0.99/mnth and, although their service & uptime is great, they dont have cPanel 11 or Fantastico, which is a huge bummer. I've been searching around DP and WHT for hosts, and I'm leaning towards this one host that doesnt offer as much space & bandwidth for the same price (at 500mb space & 15 gb bandwidth, its still a lot compared to most hosting plans though) but has got some great reviews. Still, I'm hesistant to buy because hey, I might get a better offer someplace else too. So I'm asking all you webhosts out there in DP, I want your offers! Some requirements though: (Which arent very hard to fullfill at all) cPanel 11 Fantastico at least 500 mb space at least 15 gb bandwidth 98% or more uptime at least email support unlimited mySQL, email accounts, subdomains, ftp accounts $0.99/month through PayPal - has to be a monthly term--I wanna be able to cancel anytime I want, because I tend to ignore my sites (this one will be a blog/portfolio/personal gallery) oh and dont worry about credit card fees associated with PayPal, as you wont have them because I have a pretty good balance in my account Oh and dont bother lecturing me about cheap hosting = bad service yadda yadda yadda. I'm willing to take that risk, and Ive found that most services are the same, cheap or expensive. And one more thing... PLEASE POST YOUR OFFERS HERE. I want this thread to be able to help other people looking for a good host too. Thanks in advance for your time! - Jo
$1 / month 1Gb space - 10 GB bandwidth , can be upgraded for free. Over 100 DP customers http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=239466 11 page long thread. Let me know. Thanks Ishan
I have mentioned that the Bandwidth can be upgraded for free , as my other clients are not using much bandwidth So , I can provide you upto 20 GB bandwidth for free. Also , in the thread, I have mentioned cPanel 10 & no Fantastico , but that was 207 days ago. I now have cPanel 11 & Fantastico De Luxe. Thanks Ishan
$1 month is nothing much man, even though thats a small plan. Paypal takes .33 cents from that, only leaving .67 which is nothing worth while. But I have a budget plan for only $3.99 with 1 GB Disk & 20 GB Bandwidth.
HI Well, I have started with the basic construction , you can see that here http://www.lacehost.com & you can order here - http://lacehost.com/web-hosting-orders/ Thanks Ishan
with my past experiences, paypal doesnt take anything away if you pay with your paypal balance, not from a credit card of bank account. oh and thanks for your offer :] ishan - thanks too!
Paypal charges regardless or they wont profit. Check out http://www.ppcalc.com/ for information on what the charge per transaction amount.
I have an offer for you, let me recommend BlueHost to you. It's a great hosting service. It is very important to have quality service. You won't want to be paying for a cheap price, in return for low uptime service, and slow customer service. BlueHost is rather well known and I would definitely highly suggest you take a look. I have made recommendations to other DP members, and also V7N members, and they are very happy with the service. You definitely won't want to be frustrated because of downtime or poor customer service. Furthermore, Bluehost is definitely good value for money! I have sent you a PM, do take a look
I believe paypal did not charge on personal accounts at one time maybe they do now I am not sure. But anyone running a business account (I would hope any host would be) would be getting charged fee's. That is why even on a $3.95/month payment we take 3 months at a time.
Well, we at lacehost have a different policy, which helps us save PayPal fees. We have a Personal Account for paypal balance payments (no fees) & a Premier account for Credit/Debit Card payments , thus allowing us to charge lower & monthly at a time
Well for some reason I think that's against their terms of service. Second if we did that, we get enough payments through Paypal that they would be on us pretty fast. I'm pretty sure they'd question why a personal account has transactions from thousands of other paypal users over a short period of time. This does not even consider the headaches you run into when you run a business that primarily comes from word of mouth or search engines. Visitors like to pay through a billing system no hassles. Attempting to explain to them that if you pay this way via paypal click this button another way click this one. Way too much work to save 2.3% and 30 cents on each transaction.
Agreed with what Inflow said, if you get caught you will have your paypal accounts seized and probably would be banned from using paypal. You are breaking their terms of service, and you are also escaping tax in a sense. As law says, the more you make the more you get taxed. In your cause you want to make more, and be taxed less, which is illegal and against TOS.
okay. so we've established that paypal still gets fees outta you, no matter how much it is. any more offers?
Hi PayPal TOS say that you can have 1 Premier/Business account & 1 Personal account. There is no limit to the number transactions you can do via your Personal account. It is not at all illegal to use a Personal account for making many transactions. About taxes , I do pay them in my country , & as I make more using this method , I pay more taxes. You guys are mixing up fees & taxes , please clear up your commerce knowledge & then post @OP You can still make payments to Personal accounts , without them needing to pay fees. You may ask PayPal support about it & I am sure they will confirm. Also , it seems , mine is the best offer Thanks Ishan
