    You need to sign up for the ebay API to be able to snipe from the back end. Also, they only allow a certain number of queries for free each month. After a specified amount, it costs money to query ebay through their API.

    not to mention that you'll have to do some serious cron work to be able to time the snipes with PHP. Most sniping apps are installable applications
