anybody else want an iPhone but can't afford it because it is so expensive.
I live in the uk and current they are all sold out but in a few months 02 is expected to release the pay-as-you-go iPhone for an expected price of £500. I'm sorry but it's not worth that much, why can't they sell it for £200 that a price mark nobody could turn down.

I could quite happily turn it down for that price. I can think of so many better ways in which to spend £200.

Just wait a while, such gadgets command premium prices in the beginning, but the prices drop very quickly and very fast as new models are introduced and new competitors out.

No point catching the trend. It is too fast and too costly.

yes gadgets may get cheaper over time but not the iphone, look even on ebay, first gen iphones are still selling for £260 thats a fortune for a year old/ 1 gen behind piece of technology. Ive got an ipod touch but when I get enough money to buy a new 3g iphone my ipod is being sold

It is really a personal preference, for me no way I am going to pay so much for a iphone. Rather pick it up at basement prices a few months down the road.

Pay a higher price if you want to join the club of "gate crashers" and if you wait for some time, the demand goes down automatically and so is the price along with improvement in the configurations. Patience pays provided you are ready to kill the thrill :D

it's not practical to buy an expensive phone..spend the money with something that is worthy.

I bought one on the day of release. The difference in speed compared to the 2G is phenomenal... definitely worth the $87/month bill IMO, especially considering that I get a hefty amount of phone calls, data, sms and whatnot.
