I use www.sharelinks.co/share cause it's the best looking site that does this and it has the share widget built right in to every page. I can then share my whole network with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, StumbleUpon, Digg, Delicious and e.mail

E.mail is the one of the best cause i can just send out an e.mail to an entire mailing list.

SEO is bound to get you more traffic.
Also try to increase the PR of your page by probably writing some articles about your niche or getting someone to write them for you.
Also number of backlinks plays important role.
Facebook and Twitter have huge population and you can also try to trap them.

If your site is new, first try directory submissions, article submissions and bookmarking.
Later on build some blogs on high PR and established websites and add quality content. Do some bookmarking and directory submission for your new blogs.
Apart from this, create a fanpage on facebook, twitter account on twitter and start adding people (targeted audience, you can find them in your niche related fan pages and on twitter you can find them using keywords in search or follow the followers of existing competitor). After getting decent amount of people to your pages, then update regularly about your website. Keep adding quality content to your website.

One thing that most people forget is that you do not need more traffic to have more pageviews. Sometimes you can use your existing traffic to maximize your pageviews.
