I have a good domain related to Hyderabad city, thinking of starting a portal kinda site wherein the news and other stuff is updated daily. I still need your suggestions about using any CMS or what? Does any of you guys have portals relating to their cities, what and how do you manage them? I am in a fix about this domain. Any help will be much appreciated!
I would use Joomla, alot of the components are free, or really cheap, and if you want to build a community you can use their Community Builder Component, then there is the Fireboard component, tons of SEF programs available (Although I suggest ADvanced SEF, or Artio SEF) If you don't mind spending about 80 dollars you can also download a program from iJoomla which works with Joomla, such as iJoomla Magazine, or iJoomla News Portal. I use iJoomla Magazine on cellubration.com
