ppl please enlighten me with techniques of seo. I am basically a noob and don't know about seo. but i know that you have optimize any site to get a place in Google or any of the search engines.

1. Write and submit press releases
2. Write and submit articles to directories
3. Submit your site to web directories.
4. Write similar topics on web 2.0 properties like hubpages.
5. Submit your rss to top rss directories.
6. Start contributing to a forum in your niche.
7. Submit your site to dmoz directory.
8. Review products on Amazon.
9. Write high quality content so that people will link to them.
10. Network with other bloggers in your niche.
11. Release a useful product for free.
12. Create a useful newsletter.
13. Write list posts.
14. Write how to posts.
15. Break news in your niche.
16. Buy traffic.
17. Record a podcast and submit to podcast directories.
18. Provide a great ebook for free.
19. Advertise your site.
20. Rinse and Repeat.

 

You can learn SEO here only. Just read all SEO thread carefully you will get lots of good tips in each and every thread here.

 

Let me know if their is anything that I can do. My experience comes since 2003 on internet marketing. (Mainly linking and SEO)

Just follow the tips given above and try to build your own SEO strategy. It depends on your work and abilities, try to upgrade it and constant learning of this technique will increase your skills.

I know nothing about SEO but want to know how much is fair to pay somebody? I am a moving company only looking to be in searches for possible customers,, not traffic. or anything like that,, not yet at least.. This site is CASHBOMB full of info.
