For a start, you should choose what kind of products you want to sell as an affiliate marketer, is it physical, or digital? Then you should think about what niche you want to be in, IMO you should choose a niche that's not in the internet marketing niche, there is a lot less competition and it should be easier for you. But also make sure the niche you choose has products that people will want to buy, and there is always more people looking for that product or solution. Then all you have to do next is look for a couple of products in that niche that you would want to sell to others. After that, well you should start reading around this forum and research, but don't get too caught up doing that, it happened to me and I just kept getting distracted by some other way to make money, or get traffic, etc... Once you have the essentials, move on and start implementing what you have learned, don't get distracted like many do, including me. And yes don't buy the get rich products, but there are definitely products that are good, I've had my fair share of great products I've bought and have helped me immensely. If you buy from the right people, it just speeds up the process from having to research from place to place just to get your answer, cuz usually the free info you'd have to scrounge around for since they aren't really laid out in a specific order.
