Ahh,you want to close your adsense account to recieve those 54.21$ ? I think that is not possible. You should wait until you reach $100 and then google will send you a check which may take up to 1 month to arrive.
You can close the account or simple ignore account and don't use it. You won't be paid untill you reach 100 dollors and there is no serious problem with that much small 54 dollors. Any way you can show as other income in your tax details and pay the tax.
Why do u wanna close ur account ? the best idea would be clickbomb ur ads and leave the rest on adsense team
I guess all of you are wrong You get paid w/e the amount in your account is even if it hasnt reached 100$(should have reached 20$ though) if you are closing your account however there were some conditions, something like 2 month period before they send the payment anyways, just email them and ask

It's not required to cancel your adsense account. Whether you use or not the adsense account, it's never mind. As far to receive your payment, your minimum balance would be $100. Why you're going to cancel your account? You're earning good extra money from adsense.
