Hi, After about a year of being convinced that Twitter was just a fad and that I'd missed the boat anyway, I finally realised what a great opportunity I'd been missing out on. The real issue for me was that Twitter wasn't designed as an "internet marketing tool" but as a micro-blogging tool. The nightmare I imagined was being bombarded with mindless tweets like "delayed at the airport", "what you doing tonight", "picking food out of my beard" etc etc... ) Of course, like many other services on the web, Twitter can be very effectively used as a marketing tool as long as you know how. As usual it takes some big names to pioneer the process and then the rest follow. It seems clear to me that because those big names are now there, Twitter is there to stay as an important part of a marketer's arsenal. One of the biggest obstacles to making a success out of Twitter has been the amount of time and effort it takes to maintain those social connections. It's a full time job in itself! What makes me totally convinced that Twitter is now here to stay is the sheer number of supporting services that have sprung up to run your Twitter account and to automate much of the process. Here are just a few of the services I know of. Would love to hear about anything you use that isn't listed here and you find useful. Tweetdeck, Twitterfon, MrTweet, Social Oomph, Tweetlater, Twitterfeed, SpliTweet The key element for success with Twitter is gaining followers. What I have noticed is that having a good picture makes a BIG difference. Twitter is after all a social community and just using the standard picture template does not make you seem human. If you have any useful, or just plain cool, stuff to use with Twitter then please share here. Below I have bundled the twitter stuff that I found really useful and hopefully you will too. A report on how to set up and automate Twitter with all the add-on services and picture templates. Twitter Report and Templates Package For your convenience, it's bundled together in one download using Winzip so follow the link, choose Open, then Extract and then choose a place on your computer to save the folder. Good luck with the Tweets, Sam
