I have now played around with Craigslist, Twitter, PPC, and I understand SEO and know the methods behind ranking higher such as article marketing, submitting to directories, and social bookmarking sites, and RSS feeds. On twitter I have 4500 followers now and i feel like that should be enough to get SOMETHING... i'm going to start tweeting begging people for change soon... I understand the use of these things but i can't seem to find a niche or market to use it for. I feel like this is the hardest part. Maybe someone had advice... I'm so frustrated and tired of hearing how much money is being made and i'm still having to bust my ass working in a restaurant just to get by, and barely doing it. while i dump all my money into useful program and trying different things which results in not much... I haven't even met the distribution requirements for clickbank and i've gotten 100's of hops over the past couple months. I feel like there products are all the same and they all seem like crap... i wouldn't buy it bc they look and are presented terrible... but apparently people are making money with it... just not me. If someone can shine a little light my way i'd really appreciate it... i've been learning all this stuff in my spare time and i'm a pretty smart guy... and i swear if someone gips me on a tip one more time because of this bad economy and thats there way of dealing with it i'm just gonna go crazy and start shooting everyone in the restaurant... sorry, i had to vent a little too... Thanks in advance...
Cool down, Ace. You don't wanna end up with the guys, do you? So, if you wanna make cash and break through into freedom, you need to promote adult. Why adult? It's simple: because it's the best seller "product" of them all. Of course, there's just as much competition in that market, but if you go up the microniches, you can do well. And where you do you find the people who need/want adult? The search engines, of course. So start learning SEO and PPC and then put it into practice. I hope you're better now.
Create a site on money / insuance and loans. Look at Google PPC to get an ideas of the price per click for a keyword. This will give you a good indication of what markets to target to make it 'big time' good luck...
The problem is, you have the wrong kind of pieces to put the puzzle together. Craigslist: Can't say anything without first seeing your ads. If they are crap, well, what do you expect? Twitter: This is, without a doubt, the most overrated, dumbass site there is. You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT make money from this Bozo of a site. Thing is, everybody is following one another, yet practically all are not reading one another's pages. Incredibly stupid, if you were to think about it. SEO: If you are selling something, organic traffic is near the bottom of the barrel when it comes to making money. Practically all are window shopping, hopping from site to site out of sheer boredom at work, or, they are looking for free stuff. On top of that, you have to be lucky enough to land high to even be seen. Just because a webmaster does the SEO does not mean he will land high. It is not gauranteed. Also, submitting to social networks and directories helps very little, if at all. Don't believe everything you read. Stay out of McDonalds. That's my favorite restaurant.
copper, you mention that hunka27 has the wrong pieces, but you don't explain what the RIGHT pieces are or where to find them. I agree with you what you said "don't believe everything you read". Take note, those who brag about making tons of money online are usually, not always, but usually selling a "How To Make Money Online Something or Another" giancarlo suggests promoting porn. Yeah, there's a ton of money to be made in that industry, it is the largest niche on the web and ultimately the most competitive. However, I am not sure what country giancarlo is from, but here in the US the Justice Department and their USC 2257 Record Keeping Requirements are flipping insane! IMHO, you first need to find a market that is BUYING (I.E. Porn). Again, in the US, the economy blows and there is a surge of people rushing to the internet looking for ways to make extra money. Many are not looking to become Donald Trump, just be able to pay their bills. There are really two things that prevent success online. 1. You DO NOT get ENOUGH traffic to your site period. Everything is a numbers game. In the porn industry, thumb gallery posting, if you get your gallery to convert 200:1 that's out (flippin) standing!!! (100:1 = 100 visitors to your site before 1 visitor clicks your ad, banner, offer etc. Now, once you get visitors to click your offer, then you have another ratio to worry about. How many visitors need to view the offer landing page before taking action. With thumb gallery posts, needing 100 landing page views is not uncommon. So now do the math; 100 landing page view require 10,000 web site visitors just to make that sale of $25.00, $35.00 or whatever. And it is important to note the order I have listed these requirements. Traffic first, ALWAYS!!! 2. You have tons of traffic, AWESOME job. No sales though, BIG problem. Reasons, simple. Wrong or not targeted traffic. I.E. People visit your site looking for doorknobs and only find Hub Caps = no sales. Or, your page simply stinks! Bad grammer, spelling, poor graphics, layout etc. Two things are needed - LOTS, LOTS, and LOTS of traffic and then you need a great site, with awesome content that the traffic is looking for and is willing to spend money on. Just my two cents Good Day
Sounds like you have no real plan man. You just seem to be trying things out for the sake of it. Internet marketing should be a business not a hobby. You need to pick a niche. You need to get some buying keywords. You need to get traffic for those buying keywords. Don't start by trying different traffic systems and then work out what niches can bend around it. You could go for weight loss and promote it using article marketing for those buying keyphrases. Just form a plan.
I feel like there products are all the same and they all seem like crap Unless you're one of those born salesmen who just love to SELL, you're not going to get far with that attitude - find something that you can enthuse about to promote. It's a tired cliche to say 'make sites about what you're intererested in', and if making money is a priority then you need to pragmatic about it, but if you're going to be putting a lot of your spare time into it in top of your job, you've got to have some interest in it to keep you motivated, and it's a lot easier to sell to an audience you have some kind of connection with, that you understand, know where they hang out, know why they buy and why they don't buy.
Positibve thinking is the key to success! Think of the ending for what you want! and just take daily steps!
