I think there should be 1 day before someone can post a neg comment on I-trader, mainly as I have two bad reviews as I went out for a night, (since then they have been paid).

So you got a bad rating because you delayed your payment? How late were you?

13 hours (I never set a time of when I was gonna pay, it was 13 hours after the job was done)

These guys are all clearly kids who don't know how business works. When I complete a service and send an invoice the payments terms are 30 days not 9 hours.

Not all of us hang around on MSN all day.

This is the original thread and I'm off to post in it.

I think the members here have every right to give you negetaive comment, if you are late and can not fulfil the promises. I think that is the main reason why it was introduced. In the end you know who gave you the comments and the reasons. Do you think so?

Do you think that not paying an invoice within 12 hours is enough to be given a bad rating?

No, I disagree Maldives. All I am trying to say is it initself is means I can't sleep (thanks to different time zones). If I said "Yes I will pay you at such and such time" I would agree with you, but it was 13 hours and when I woke up I payed them

It basically tells how satisfied the customers are. Whether soapbath likes it or not, people gave negative comments just only because they were not happy. Don't you think so? I think so :)

You must ask this question from the members that gave the negative comments. Not me ;)

How would DP know that it has been a day since the sales thread 'closed'?? Doesn't seem like it would work unless you could actually end a sales thread..

Maybe a CLOSED type button, I am sure it would not need much coding, and it would also provide a way on the market place to show which things are open. Having a little [CLOSED] icon next each each item.

Doubt Shawn would be interested, he has always made it very clear the marketplace is just an addon to the forum.

Soapbath, realistically this type of problem can probably be avoided for the most part by going out of your way to communicate. When you start discussing a job/deal let them know what timezone you're in, let them know when you're going to be "out of the office" etc. and then your customers/clients/provieders will be a bit more comfortable knowing that you're still there, and they will be more likely to shoot you an email before leaving negative comments. Just my 2c.
