I totally got ripped off and I am very annoyed

I bid on a site, won and bought it on this site. I paid with PayPal and then the guy never delivered the domain! I asked PayPal to reimburse me and they said they wouldn't because it was a virtual product! So the guy essentially stole from me and I have no recourse. Is there any way he can be banned from using Digital Point? Please let me know what you think. Susan BTW, His name is Manson Plee...

Sorry to hear from your bad experience, but never every pay anyone with paypal except trustworthy companies or for tangible goods. SEDO isn't cheap, but no honest seller would have a problem doing the deal via them, except for a $50 domain maybe.

how much did you pay? and what was the domain name. You can look up who owns each domain name....get their address and file a lawsuit (small claims) on them.

Hi Susan, I think the same happened to me as well, different seller though. Did you find any recourse? How long is a reasonable time to wait for somebody to "push" you the site details?

I would never buy such a thing without using either escrow or doing it through eBay.

I suggest using escrow as it's a better method...

As well as using Sedo.com for escrow services, many users are switching to Transpact.com when paying for their domain sale/purchase (or for receiving payment), as Transpact offers a fixed low fee (£2.99 / €3.49), and great protection.

Buyer beware, unfortunately. As you realized, PayPal doesn't protect you against fraud with virtual goods/services.

Deals are only meditated if both users are premium members, unfortunately.

Oh sorry to hear this. I sell 100's of site domains here at DP but many do the same thing. They pay me first and than I give them the sites. Actually I send the domain first and than they send me full payment and later I send them the entire back up files. This is how I deal with my clients.

may I know the OP, how much did he give him? You should ask paypal for REFUND, I think refund is very much possible. Tell paypal that you are not happy with the site and they will help you....
