I thought you want to be in DMOZ?

I thought being listed in DMOZ's directory was really important from redaing on other sites?
Yet I saw a few posts that seemed to suggest otherwise???
I have tried to get listed in DMOZ three times (about two or three weeks apart).
I have the right category (my competitors are listed not all but a lot of them) and yet I cannot seem to get listed:(
Are ther any tricks to this?
    Help would be appreciated!

Multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.

Do not disguise your submission and submit the same URL more than once.

Please read the ODP submission guidelines. They're your best-bet at getting accepted. It will rarely take only 2-3 weeks to get listed, so you should just submit it once and then forget about it. There are no tricks, despite what every second poster here will tell you (only because they couldn't manage to read the guidelines either and believe everything they read on the internet).

    * you will need to find a dmoz editor and pay to him for the listing.
    * in my opinion, spam sites stays forever and they are accepted with a better speed than normal web sites.
    * apply for the editorship to your dmoz category.

i know i did not say good think. you will see so many dmoz editor will reject what i have said but you will learn that the thinks that i have said is real.

dmoz is a spam directory and they accept the sites of editors.

    good luck

The trick is finding an editor willing to take your money AND list your site. You have an equal chance of finding an editor that will take your money and ban your site for bribing to get in, or just getting banned.

    Submit & forget.

If you have a good and honest editor, and your site fits within the guidelines, then you'll eventually get a listing. Trying to get around that can get your site banned... which I guess is not all that different then just not getting listed. *shrug*

Instead of answering the OP's question, you thought you'd slander a website with no *reasonable* foundation... Congratulations.

    You forgot to say:
" * Shake a gorilla's hand five times, run in a circle 3 times with your hands behind your back, and kiss a whale while singing the national anthem".

Yep, that should do it. ;)
