Uhm. What the hell? You don't need to upload (through Dreamweaver? WTF?) - just log in to the admin-account on your WP-install, and upload the zip-file where you install themes. And yes, Wordpress IS easy - it's incredibly easy, and if you can't make that work (or at least tell us what kind of errors you're getting), then you really shouldn't be making websites.
Wordpress is relatively easy to manage. If you have little programming skills, you can build a very nice website with Wordpress without spending much time. If you feel Wordpress is harder, please do not look at Joomla, drupal etc
You may need to see some Wordpress video tutorials at youtube. You can find plenty of WP tutorials at youtube.
Dreamweaver! why....? Think that's your problem buddy. I would suggest going to youtube and typing in "how to build a WordPress website" tons of videos.
All you need is to google how to set it up.. lol I use to think that way back when upgrading wordpress was to be done manually.
The correct word there if you really want to create a wordpress site but you can't is to "look/search/scan" the internet for wordpress tutorials as there are hundreds to thousands of information you can find. Searching Google is more than enough to search those.
Yes, you need to educate yourself abit about WordPress, and within weeks you will be able to manage/update your website easily and quickly.
