Suggestion I think you should have a running timer on the listing page

Instead of stating the action ends on a specific date and time like the current system does, I think you should have a running timer on the actual listing page for the auction to inform bidders/visitors about how much time there is left to place a bid.

I realize this can be seen when you browse the listings in the sub-forum, but from my experience with the recent website auction I hosted, most people seem clueless as to when exactly the auction is going to end and still wanted to place a bid once the auction had ended. It's pretty understandable because once the listing drops off the first page it gets buried.

Hmmm... you don't think people looking for auction ending soon would be more inclined to skim the category listing (which shows remaining time)? And for auctions ending soon, they always get pushed to the top of the auction listing at the end.

I think they would be more inclined to check the actual listing page. Basically my suggestion is the way Flippa does it. I think it makes sense doing it like that, in situations where someone refers a friend to check out the site for sale, its easy for them to figure out how much time they have left to make a bid and it's also easier for existing bidders.

    Hey, good idea. lol

Truth be told, it was implemented back in November, 2011 (which is when I was doing the first stuff on the new site... starting with the marketplace). hah

I most definitely didn't plan on it taking so long... but w/e... considering I really was just working on it in my spare time when I had time, it's a miracle it got done at all. hah

Is there not already a "Auction ends in" added in the BST Sites forum, or was you meaning the Marketplace listing?

The "Auction ends in" is a great addon to the new DP make over, great job Shawn.
