Are you sure? I've been a member for longer than that and only on 30 points.

good luck getting your money back...

I've made two loans on DP so far, and got my money back both times... Hope you're able to say the same thing soon :)

I would say you need to escalade immediately. Otherwise the guy gets an email from PayPal asking him whatsup. First thing he does is emptying the account and bank account and whatever is linked and you don't get anything even if PP says you're right.

I would wait till he gets unbanned. Afterall he might be honest.

I sold sig spot to one member and he paid me but he was banned before he could send me details of his link.
I contacted him via email form here on DP but no answer from him ....

You really cannot know what is behind. Maybe he is honest afterall. Anyway you will have to decide for yourself ;)

loaning a 100$ to a 2 months old member wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do ..

anyways as the guys said before me you should contact paypal and ask them to refund you the money

    thanks ..

^^^Speaking lightly. I would say more of a moron, idiotic, stupid thing to do. And no this is not an insult this is a fact. Loaning $100 to a guy on the internet is as i've said moronic. I mean i have a hard time loaning like 2 euros to my sister and not to mention some guy over the internet that i don't know off.
Get an intelegence, get an education, get a life.
Some say its kind? WTF kind is to help out a begger, give money to charity and not some guy on the internet that probably laughs as hell now with your $100 dollars.

No offense but take some good advise. Never loan anything out specially cash if you don't care to get it back. I feel for you. I just saw a post recently someone asking to borrow $20.00 . No one should be loaning out cash and if you do then don't expect it back. If you get it back. Then more power to you!
You are a good person and let it be a lesson. Not everyone is bad and most would probably pay it back but in some cases you get a jerk that doens't care about anything but himself. I doubt paypal will help you. It wasn't a tangiable item. But good luck. We feel you !

The flip side - You just paid $100 bucks to have someone never bother you again. :)

I echo this statement. Cyberspace is a place where anyone can be anonymous if they try hard enough and take advantage of as many people as they can before others catch on. Then, at that point they just move on to a new identity. I used to look at the world with rose-colored glasses believing that most people are honest - but now, after dealing with individuals on the internet, I really need to have a good reason to trust someone before I give them my money. Period. Take this as a lesson learned and do your homework before handing any more of your money over to someone you don't know very well.

I do however, know a lot of wonderful people on the internet who are honest and it is sad that there are scammers out there that make it even harder for honest people to get ahead :(

So, any updates on whether you were able to get the money back or not? What happened to the escalated claim?

Contact the member via email.. if he is not responding then contact paypal and try their resolution center..... But I dont think that they can help you in this case..... as you gave money as a loan and not for any product purchase or something like that...........

Paypal doesn't do chargebacks unless a physical product was involved
