my site doesn't seem to want to index, and i'm usure whether its something to do with the snippets on the home page (it shows a snippet of the post on the front page).

Can anyone help me with this...i'm now starting to get concered that its in the sandbox, but webmaster tools says it has 43 urls found, and only 1 indexed, however the site is only a few days old (brand new domain) and one of my mates has a site with the same theme and is indexing pages within an hour. (its wordpress btw)

could it be a robots issue?

It could, why not login to a Google Webmaster Tools account and use the Analyze robots.txt tool, you'll be able to see if any of your pages are being block by the robots.txt.

Also even quicker check out be to see if you robots.txt is excluding any pages or your whole site, do you have a line with "Disallow" and then your website name or some page name, if so what ever is after the "Disallow" will not be able to be visited by Google (on that line only).

Most likley your issue is not a robots.txt thing though.
