I think I need a mentor

    Hey all,

I'm a first-year college student. I need a mentor for affiliate marketing, someone who will show me the ropes and help me to get started making some money. Please don't tell me to go read forum posts; I have been reading nonstop for months on here and a dozen other forums. I read several different blogs each day (ie, John Chow, Zac Johnson, Shoemoney, etc.) and have read ebook after ebook.

I'm definitely not lazy. I can put in 12 hours a day if I need to, or more. I think I'm the visual type of person that needs to be "shown" how to do something rather than just reading about it, to get the best results. I'm just at a loss where to begin. I've been playing with Squidoo for the past few weeks but haven't earned anything yet, and that's about all I've done, besides blogging here and there.

I can put forward $100 (I know, not very much..) up front for someone SERIOUS who is planning on working with me, and has actually been successful with affiliate marketing. I'd be willing to split my earnings for an extended period of time, as well as sign up as a referral on Azoogle or other affiliate network(s). Whatever it takes. I just need a "push."

I'd like to get going in PPC and all that jazz. Right now I'm a member of CJ, Linkshare, Copeac and a couple others. I have $80 in a YSM account waiting to be used, too. I know there's huge potential in affiliate marketing, and that I could do well if I was just given a boost.

    Thanks.

Your first $100 cannot be far off. Its not as hard as you think. You need only the right contacts. I got something for you anyway, if you 're intrested.

    Good luck to you,
    Slim

Hey Zach... Yeah - Getting started can be frustrating.

    Check out our thread:

I have a bunch of newbies in the group that I'm working closely with... I'm not asking for any money...

Whatever you do.. Don't pay anybody anything....

Reading and researching is step 1. Implementing is step 2 and the most important step. Expect to fail 10+ times before succeeding.
