I Think I have hit on a niche area for my forum, how do I get more people to join?

I really do believe in my forum, it's not been on line for long, but things have gone a bit quiet.

Most of my members are people from my work place, and I really would like people from other work places to join.

I set my forum up for people to discuss work related issues, and has been very well received by people I work with.

Recently changed to Bulletin from YaBB, and lost quite a few users during the switch, most have rejoined though.

Could you give any ideas on how to take this forward from here?

Seems your forum is not that busy yet - so you should maybe hire some forum posting service, to make it look more active and also more attractive to join.

2. do link exchanges will related sites
3. buy advertising in related ezines

and so on
