Hey everyone! Okay, I think I am ready to launch my site and I need to know what ideas you might have for my launch. Also what you think of the site. I don't have a lot of money so "BIG" marketing is out for now. The site is an auction style site for domains, websites, web based business, start-ups, ad space and web development. It is set up a lot like eBay but without all the "other" stuff to get in the way it is more targeted to web related topics. It also has a "Wanted Ads" section so, if you want something you can tell the rest of the world about it and they can offer it to you. Marketing I am using: I am offering your first listing free. That includes all the upgrades like: featured, bold, highlighted...etc. I am using google and yahoo ads. They just started running a day ago and I have been trying to get the links on other peoples sites. First i would like to congrats you to have 1 PR. My Suggestion is to add some more content and add site map so Big G can crawl all your page.
it's a cool idea... but the design is kinda.. kinda hard to make it all clear.. if you make it a bit more web 2.0 and make it more sensual or what. I know it's not a marketing advice, but no matter how i came to the site - i couldn't stay there too long because of its' oppressive design..
I forgot to mention that....I am working on a sitemap but I cant get the dam code to work to update it regularly
Yes it should be fine for starting. But you should do more promotion such as digg it and buying some banner ads at major forum to get more visitor
I have done a few diggs and each auction has links for others to digg, stumble etc. Hopefully those will help. I will do some banner ads soon. I may even do a few here, but I need the money first Thanx for your input
