I think google doesnt like me anymore.

I was ranked #1 for a few key words for the longest time. I just started updating the site again(last month) and have found that as of yesterday I am no longer on google for the key words or any of the others I ranked high on.

I rank number 1 on Live.com and Yahoo but I seem to have disappeared on google.

I was getting good traffic from them and then everything bottomed out. I am still indexed when I put site:mysite.com.

Since I am still indexed what does that mean? Sandboxed?

Since your site still appears for your domain name, you are definitely not sandboxed. Google might have slapped a penalty on you for doing something highly abusive as per their terms.

Try to introspect your actions over the last month or two and assess what could be the reason of their getting annoyed! :(

Same situation happened to me and until now I did not know what to do. Many said that I just continue to link build but I think it doesn't work. Any more suggestions?

You've mentioned you started updating your sites again.... Take a lot at what have you done(specially what have you updated on your site) maybe google doesn't like it that's why it slapped you.

There are a few things that I will change. I will look into everything and see what the problem is.

I think its a shame that I went from 417 visits from January 1st thru April 18th to 728 visits from April 19th(when I started to update the site) thru May 21st(when I got sandboxed). Now to lose that.

From what I have read there is no way to know how long I will be sandboxed, correct?

Should I just start another site and move the content over, with some modifications?

I would not start a new site only to see all the work you did on this one to be wasted.

Continue building it and the links associated with it and at some point it will begin to come back.

When it finally comes back completely, you'll be a happy camper.

Well I think they only removed some of my search terms from google now. I am now back in for "pirate ship wrecks." Although I dont know if I was every removed because I never checked that term. My main term was "pirate shipwrecks." Its weird that they would remove me from certain keywords. WHy would they do that?

I am getting between 0-17 users every day now. Usually around 8-10 though.

Most of my traffic now is coming from yahoo.com.
