    Hi All,

I've been watching the serps pretty closley and it seems they have about 3 sets of serps that thay are ossilating (every few days). Thay might be doing this to optimise the results according to some feedback metric (e.g. use the toolbar data to see how long people spend on a site, how many page views, or if they just ckick the back button.

Then again, maybe these long hours are making me read a bit much into this,

    What do you think?

I don't think its doing any oscillation for all the terms and such oscillation is always on as far as I can think off.

No I have not noticed this but I have noticed an awful lot of the Google dance formula where my sites rank 4th for a keyword, drop to 14th for a week then come back at 3rd. Then do the same thing.
I am not sure if it's a new mini penalty for SEO so you can't move up many places at once but it's sure as hell annoying, I have crazy traffic spikes.

IMO- its always business as usual. Nothing extra-ordinary. Seems they are tweaking with their algos for few months now. Still can't get it right to satisfy all & sundry.

I noticed this. A site I maintain has been rotation around position 8-13 for about 1.5 weeks.

They do it to measure clicks and gauge relevance

Well done on the observance! + Rep 4 u!
