I don't actually choose my traffic, do I? and I am an advertiser but if I need someone to buy something from the site I go CPA. CPC is only about visitors. Once they get on your site it's your responsibility to handle them and make them buy your product
Well, I've posted it before, but I will again. What is the product on an MFA? How do you measure conversions on an MFA? Answer to both: You can't. Your visitors go there but there is no product, thus no conversion, thus you are sending poor quality traffic, thus you get smartpriced. Hmmmmmmmmm
Sorry but your post is not quite clear. Which visitor goes where? My visitors go to MFA? when you are selling something you define a conversion as a sale because this is how you get money the conversion on a MFA is a click. at least this is how the MFA owners would define it because that's the way they get paid.
I'm so tempted to go to sitepoint and sell of my network of sites for like 40k and just start over completely. Google doesn't like quality sites I don't care what anyone says they like medical sites, credit card sites, insurance sites and so on. It doesn't matter what kind of content you have on your site. I've worked so hard to build my company from the ground up and it seems like none of that matters, I see so many new people here that have some turnkey home loan site making tons of money.
The visitor on your site clicks an ad which leads to an MFA site. Is the MFA owner going to report conversions on clicks? No, he's going to say he's getting poor quality traffic from you so he has to pay even LESS for his clicks.
It may be the same problem that gets you smartpriced. What audience does your site appeal to? How do you get traffic? I think it comes down to how you show people ads. Make them understand its a service THEY want and not something you shove down their throats. Once you figured this out, they will even come back and ask for more Nobody likes to get sold, but people love to shop around for good deals. Use that to your advantage. I am just starting out myself, but I am starting to recognize the potential of affiliate marketing over ppc (the latter is easier but not quite as profitable)
Google deserve what they earns right now.the just capitalized what they think it should and they make it success. Why we must boycott google for that.If they doing anything wrong and something suspicious, then i can think about it(as i'm also a Google Adwords whore!).
