I had a look at it. Most of the sites it lists are Chinese and in Mandarin. So its kinda useless for NON-Chinese people.

Thus it certainly doesnt deserve a separate forum..

I am naturally biased towards Baidu, because that's my business.

However, I would suggest that a sub forum is set up for non-English search engines under the "Other Search Engines"

I agree, but my weight in this forum is not significant. :(

A subforum for Other or International would help me from searching independently for Baidu, Yandex, Rambler, Goo.ne.jp, etc. At least consider it...

A specific Baidu forum is not warranted. Although there may be some weight in an international SE forum.

Would be interested to see what other important int'l SE could bring traffic.

Too bad Baidu doesn't have English language interface.

The sheer numbers of international internet users should be something we consider. You cannot lose with SEO for international SEs and some foreign language content. In the US, you should at least use Spanish.

Russia, Japan, China, Korea, and other countries are hungry for our services and the members of this forum are uniquely skilled to provide what these surfers want. Some of these countries have high internet usage rates and high incomes (e.g. Arabic, etc.).

Just think about it. The competition in the US market is incredible, as you can all probably agree. Some of these places have a lot less webmaster competition and one-page MFA sites easily rank at the top. I am not, per se, advocating MFA sites. I am explaining the real deal.

    Just an idea....

OK, but adsense is available for most languages and the opportunity is out there for those of you who want to take a leap.

My guess would be that his/her biz is probably China Search Ads or something related to Chinese language sites. :p

If that is the case, Baidu is his/her biz.

It is English world not Chinese world.
If you consider non-english SEs, there would be more than 10 should have its own forum. ;)

They do have their own forums, but would be nice to have an international area. Expanding our sites to include foreign languages is not a bad idea.

I'm using Baidu. (but i can not read chinese btw...) i dont think baidu deserve (not yet) a seperate sub folder here in DP. like the webmaster said it's not reallly that useful for DP member since majority of us cant read chinese. we might consider it later if at least 10% of DP members can read it XD
