    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

I think a CPM network may be doing fraudulent activities with sites

So i recently started with a new network that many of you are using too.
i'll keep the name to myself in case i'm wrong.
But since i put the ads and tested my site a couple of times on http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
I realize my site can't even pass the test half of the time, this is the error i get:

When i scroll down to see what is causing it, i see this:

The list goes on and on infinitely.
Now my sites is making thousands of requests to youtube..
i often see that chrome shows at the bottom left corner "waiting for s.youtube.com"

Now i'm not a genius, but i don't think that should be there.
I think that is some sort of exploit that makes your site grant +1 view to a lot of youtube videos. every time someone reload the page.

This sucks, i like this network but damn it's killing my site!

I can confirm that this ad network is generating thousands of YouTube requests through their ads.
After removing the ads my site pass pingdom test perfectly.

If you've confirmed it you might as well out the network then.

Maybe the network doesn't know and it's the ad causing it. i sent a ticket pointing this thread i hope they check it.

More than Three hundred of requests? It is hard to believe. You may wish to reduce the number of request as it will make your visitor happy. :)
The biggest request I ever had is 39 and the standard is 12. I think 3-7 request is good enough for all webmaster.
Reducing the size of your page size is the next thing to do.
Stats for one of my site:

Can't reduce requests that's how wordpress is made. plus ad tags generate requests too.

    Regarding the issue network replied:

    "Thank you for your report!
There were few ads that loaded these scripts without our consent. These ads have been removed."

Bro, why don't you share the name of that fraud adnetwork? If you share, we can be aware from them.

    CPMFun.
I removed their ads, will just keep working on unique visitors and apply to trustworthy networks.
Can't be monitoring my site everyday to check if the ads are sending malicious requests.
    Simply unacceptable.

Pretty sneaky this method, basically they do this without let you know. CPM networks pay small amount, unless you talk about TribalFusion.

I, for that matter, somehow anticipated it. CPMFun might be paying most of their publishers, but they, at the same time, are cheating on the innocent webmasters by some crappy means. I witnessed that long back and moved out of their network.
