    I think it would be a fair caution to people that they know this guy teaches blackhat methods.

    That's true, it's likely that the seo methods are going to be very shady. The end product will probably result in your website/s being filtered out or penalised from the search results. If anyone is truly serious about learning proper seo, I would suggest the SEOBOOK.COM training program - though it will cost significantly more than $50!
