I think its depends upon many thinks. Like your competition in that domain, The content which you submitted or their approval etc. You have to check all these for further result or assuming the result.

 

If you are looking for traffic you need to submit to top article sites like Ezinearticle, etc.

But if you are looking for SEO benefit, dont submit one article to large number of directories. Just keep the maximum number of 5 directories. Also remember you should not publish the same article in your site.
