I shut my forum down for a day and it no longer appears on Google or MSN

I ranked #4 in an SERP for sites like mine and now after a day being shut down, my forum is gone off of that SERP for Google and MSN.

I made a mistake by leaving a particular modification on while I was changing servers. This V-bulletin modification automatically submits a sitemap to Google, Yahoo and MSN on a periodic basis and I think it submitted my site to those search engines while the forum was shut down.

I have a shitload of backlinks, probably like 7,000 or so, including some very high quality ones. Do you think I'll get them back in a few days after the search engines see that my forum is back? :(

Yeah, that's very encouraging. Thank you. Anyone else have an experience like this when changing hosts or servers?

I dont think its anything to worry about, your site will be back where it belongs soon enough. :)
