I should get used to it by now... but no. Will be here by Thursday.

How did things turn out for you? The flooding destruction was pretty severe in certain areas.

Fortunately, nothing severe here. However, Milton is on its way. It'll be here by Wednesday night. Looks like it's going to hit central FL harder this time. Will have to put the strap over my shed again (don't want it to end up somewhere on our neighbor's yard).

Glad to hear you got through Helene. I hear you on strapping things down. About twelve years ago, a big hurricane came up here and I was looking out our backyard window only to see our trampoline on its side and rolling by like an enormous tire through the yard. I caught it before it left our yard, but in the process got hit in the head by a pretty thick tree branch that the wind knocked from our tree.

To put it in perspective (I'm where that red dot is):

We are not. Looks like it's going to be category 3 when it reaches Tampa, which is on the opposite side of where we are. I feel bad about anyone in that area. I don't know what category it'll be when it reaches us. It's going to be bad, for sure. We lived through a few category 3 hurricanes. It's terrible. The funny thing is, I fixed our roof a little bit over a year ago. Oh, well...
