I setup a new sports site today, need SEO advise ???

    I have setup a new blog on sports in general, and i want to get some SEO tips and advises from people who a running successful sports blogs and sites....

    I need to know where should i start the link building stuff, and how to avoid duplicate content...????

    Any help is will be greatly appreciated.....

    I am not running any Sports blog - but i like to share some essential things about SEO..
    # You didnt mention anything about whether your blog was indexed or not ? - But I suggest you to read this article to quick indexing by Google..
    # For link-building,
    Do Directory Submission, Social Bookmarking, Blog commenting, Link exchange for your blog.
    # For checking Duplicate Content, use Copyscape (Its free..!)

    Copyscape use to be free i think its not free anymore you can only check three times within a month free otherwise you've to upgrade for premium stuff ain't so?

    avoiding duplicate content is easy, just write your own content or hire a writer to write your articles.

    regarding seo, sports site is no different than any other site. do a little keyword research and incorporate the keywords into your content. use atleast one keyword in your post title and use the same kw along with 2-3 relevant keywords when you write your blogpost.

    you also need to do some link building if you want to get ranked high on organic search results for your targetted keywords. develop a link building plan and work accordingly

    Before anything else, you need to choose your target keywords carefully. "Sports" as a keyword is too competitive, you need to select keywords that are less competitive but still have good search volume. That's the initial thing you need to do before building links.

    try to put ur own content, i mean dont use duplicate content because once a content in a website is indexed , google wont index it again ... try to start link building in very low speed such as do 4-5 directory submission , 1-2 social bookmarks and u must have a page of ur website on face book n twitter ... making fans on twitter n facebook will bring lots of traffic towards ur site ....

    Hello ,
    As i am working on hebrew sites and presendly for its promotion i am using article and link submissions in english directories only .So anyone can please advice me that on which more channels i should work to promote my hebrew websites , so that it may increase its SEO values.
