Lonely yes, but I can't believe you didn't mention how unhealthy it is ergonomically, I type this with numb fingers on the left hand, painful fingers on my right hand and an extremely sore tail bone :(

No doubt about that! My two year old stole my office for a playroom - now I work on a $19 Ikea desk in a corner of the bedroom. I've got sore wrists, a sore back, and my eyes hurt constantly from my monitors being at the wrong height. How fair is that?!?!

So what are your main methods, how many organic visitors do you have a day or month etc. Is that where most your traffic is. This is very interesting.
I met a guy in san diego a few years back, I was visiting an ex gf who was still a good friend, she was friends with his girlfriend and he was the reason for me believing that you truly can make money online.

My ex told me she thought he was making well over six figures. I checked his traffic when I got home and he def had a good chunk. Never asked him directly. He had a ton of sites though. Ive checked his sites recently and the semrush tool shows on one of his sites alone could be worth around 50k per month.

Just more success stories for encouragement, I have seen or talked to the guy since I left. But he was a good guy so I hope he continues to do well.

Question for you, and reference to a post I made earlier. The sem rush utility I mentioned shows one of your sites potential at 11k Is that halfway accurate.

I don't get a ton of organic visitors every month. Between all the sites, maybe 120k, 150k, something like that. Not a lot. But that is where I get 95% of my traffic - I get some from bookmarks and links, and very little from PPC.

When you refer to an 11k potential, is that traffic or revenue?

its revenue, and I believe closer to profit. It takes into account the traffic the niche, the types of ads related etc and has an algorithm that gives an idea of what a sites potential money is per month.

Thats why i asked the guy with the askthetrainer link is his sig because I think thats what his site showed on the tool.

I was wondering because I was curious at how accurate the tool is.
If you want to pm me yours ill pm you back what it says. I wont give the site name to anyone. If you don't i understand though.

Another example is plentyoffish.com You have heard its story. I read an article over a year ago that it generates well over a million a month in ad revenue.

It shows today on that tool 2m a month now. dp show 272k per month I know it used to be a lot less though.

Wow, thanks TheRookie. That semrush tool is pretty cool. It's fairly accurate - it says my #1 site has a potential of $10.1k, and I generally make $11k to $14k on a normal month. But my #2 site that I don't pay a lot of attention to showed a potential of $19k. Hmmm. I think I should pay more attention to it!

Ya it seems fairly accurate. It will tell you the potential advertisers to choose from as well. If you use firefox, go to seobook.com (Im not selling anything) its aaron walls site, i think. He has a firefox toolbar addon that beats any other seo add on plus a couple other cool tools. Then every site you visite will auto show the monthly traffic and semrush, how many links indexed per the page your on yahoo and how many the domain etc. Plus a bunch more.

    Hope this helps others.

Good work - I think the "hard work" and "patience" part of your message is what makes it believable, unlike many wild earnings claims round here. It's probably the bit we don't want to hear - the "promise" of the fast buck from affiliate marketing gets those dollar signs lighting up in many people's eyes, but it turns out to be much harder than it is.

I would say I have invested a lot of time but over a longer period, so nothing like as much as I should have, and so my results are nothing like yours - a bit of (welcome) pocket-money (hey, pays the food bills every month, not to be sniffed at), but that's about it. Do we want more and are we willing to work for it, that's the question...

Congrats, if your real intention is to motivate others, show them your earning screenshots. Sorry to say but anyone can claim making thousands online...I seen it before :)

markowe - that's the truth. It's nice just to make some pocket money every month, even if it's $50. Pays for a nice dinner or something.

Here's a screen shot of my bank account - I mostly do direct deposit. There smart ones will realize that things don't add up to $18k - I have checks sitting on my desk that I still haven't taken to the bank. I don't like going out in the real world.

99.9% of it is through SEO. My bill last month for PPC was for $67.49.

There are a lot of methods shared already in this forum and some other forums. The key is just do it and of course just like pinkstor said "have patience".
