I see sudden decrease of backlink in yahoo..

    HI, all,,,

    I just checked backlink on yahoo with

    link:http://www.mysite.com/ -site:mysite.com

    I noticed sudden decrease (almost a half of what is used to be) in backlink number.

    Is there anyone having same problem??

    I had my deep-links indexed in the Y. But, now only my homepages are found in it.

    Yahoo backlinks jump up and down all the time. Don't worry about it, it's normal.

    I lost half of my links about 3 or 4 weeks ago. In fact, I should have seen an increase.

    It hasn't effected SERPs though. Still #1.

    try using linkdomain:mysite.com -site:mysite.com It will give you a better picture of your backlinks

    I've seen a major decrease in my M$N BLs as well as in Y!. So, either I'm really losing links at a high rate (which I don't think is happening) or M$N and Y! are now limiting what they will display, as G does.

    I take back what I said earlier, most of my sites are dropping 10,000s a day - not normal.
