I require a Wordpress Theme to advertise local businesses...

    Hi,

    I will be advertising local businesses. For example, i have registered a domain for plumbers in a town in London. So once I have the site ready, I will contact all the Plumbing companies in the Town, and offer them advertising space, which will include their company Logo, address and contact number.

    The companies will have to pay per month to be able to advertise on the site. I need something very professional.

    I have been told the Thesis theme is a great theme to customise. What is your view on this?

    Any good theme will work fine.

    Look at the oio publisher plugin. It's not free but it appears to be what you need.

    Any theme can be professional when designed and coded properly... Thesis is a theme framework which adds fucntionality to your theme. Then you can run child themes off the framework. I personally don't use Hybrid, but hear its good... I use Themehybrid and Woo themes frameworks and they are both great.

    I have created directory type sites using Custom taxonomies... But I believe there are plugins out there that can do directories too...
