This intrigues me greatly. I have always used statcounter so this is of particular interest to me. Please anyone try this out. I will eventually test it out myself as well, but can't afford to lose stat information this week (as the site I'm concerned about adsense revenue on gets tens of thousands of uniques daily). If this is true it could be invaluable to me. 10x more earnings? If this could, it'd make me from "enough to live on" to "holy hell I'm rich biatch"... so I'll be trying this in a week or so when my traffic levels off.

I'd of never suspected statcounter of affecting it, and can't see why it would. Granted they both run javascript, but still... seems odd. It's definitely worth a shot, and people shouldn't run their mouth off against him unless they've tried it. After all, it's free advice with a pretty bold claim that can be easily proven or disproven (even a 50% increase in earnings would be phenomenal).

Can someone try it, maybe even posting before and after screenshots? It's a big deal for me to remove statcounter... it's like going blind for me.

    ttomp,

Sorry if you feel that I was trying to bash you, but lets be realistic here when it comes to adsense and earning from it.

It is a fact that earnings are unpredictable, that is simply the nature of the beast.

    AND

To think that an organization such as Google would be penalizing publishers by decreasing their earnings for such ridiculous reasons is well ridiculous itself, enough with all the conspiracy theories.

Here is my advice to all the publishers trying to earn more.......

    Build a better website!

I tried it on 5 of my websites and there was absolutely no change what so ever.
Don't remove statcounter if you like that tool for yourself, you'll just be wasting your time.

How long did you try for? I would of guessed it takes a day or two of removing it to find out. Thanks for the info.

Isn't it obvious - the guy faked these results to gain publicity so that you will watch his video.

    This is 100% bullshit.

Well the claim was that after 24 hours earnings increased by 1000%..

I gave it about the same, and there was no change what so ever, I would have been pleased with an increase of even 10%, but 1000% well come on, if this worked anyway what so ever then a slight change in earnings would have been seen after 12 hours according to the claim made.

Most likely. I hate that though, when someone puts some superstition in the back of my mind. Won't be able to get rid of it till I prove it wrong. grrr :D I'd like to hear from another person (other than wilderr67) who has also not seen any difference. If so, I believe the community has a way of dealing with false claims (rep system).

There were a few possibilities that sometimes ignorant folk like myself may superstitiously have bought into. Like since they both utilize javascript. Or that perhaps because Google has their own stat service (analytics) they might be penalizing those using their competition.... that was the one I thought might have teeth... I've caught Google doing worse for less, so I'm a bit paranoid. ;)

    The Statcounter theory isn't true.
However, my earning still increased 1000%
Here's the template which I implemented to increase my earnings.

Originally, I didn't think that this template had anything to do with my 1000% increase,
for it was almost exactly the same in my previous version. That
is why I originally blamed the removal of Statcounter for my
increase in earnings. However, now I know that it was the template
    above that increased my earnings.

    Why did my earnings Increase?
Like I said, my template was practically the same, but with one difference.
I Removed all of the unnecessary junk. The MORE 'clickable' items you have on
your page, the LESS your ads will be clicks.

If you simply remove excess garbage and leave your ads and a few links
on your page, you will greatly increase your earnings.

For those that think I am trying to promote something....
Suck one. This is the EXACT reason why I don't share my tips in
this forum. Not everyone here is, but a bunch of people here are selfish
and only care about a quick nickle and how they can make it.

I have far better strategies for promoting USEFUL content. Last thing
I care to do is spam a forum. I own one myself, so I know how annoying
it can be to get spammed.

All I want to do is help.
For those of you that implement this strategy, I hope that it works well for you.
Hopefully, as well as it did for me.
Remember, remove the junk / limit the links that you put on your page
and you will get more clicks.

    Live Example: Joel Comm's website

Not a lot of junk. If people are going to click something above the fold, they're going to click the ads.

Good Rule of Thumb: "Less junk = More clicks = More money = U = :)"

So I was completely right. The Statcounter thing was a lie. That's an awesome way to make yourself popular around here...

Go back to playing WoW you 14 year old clown.

I thought it was true at first. But not all claims turn out to be
    true, as I stated above.

    Good quote by the way...

Maybe you should learn to live by it.

Apparently people can lie and get away with it? What can the community do about it? Do the mods care/intervene on these things? This almost caused me to lose valuable statistics on my sites.

I think adsense dont support statcounter well... or the relation is not good so.. that might be the reason..

and not even adsense .. google analytics also give the same result.. which is "less unique visitors".. against other tracker system
