    Hi everyone. This morning I registered my first domain: www.programming4fun.com. I plan to create a forum about programming. How is that?

    Programming is a good niche, If you will get a back link from school forums, I'm sure you will get huge membership and of course $_$ ;)

    Excellent, you are off to a good start. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it! One piece of advice, which I'm having a hard time following is, focus on one thing at a time. Put all your energy into that forum!:)

    It is good name selection, what forum software you are planning to use, what ways you are going to promote the forum ? Are you going to discuss about all sort of programming verticals or only a specific few

    Domain name is Good, But Making a forum could be a bit mess, as its not easy to manage a forum, and make it an active one.
    My suggestion would be to make a proper programming blog, and update it regularly with programming tuts and tips.
    Just an opinion it is, Good luck.
