I'm using credit card on my transaction in the internet.. I don't know what's this City-County FCU is all about.. I'm not even a member of that website. The strange thing is they send the e-mail to one of my website's e-mail address which is not I'm using whenever I have transaction on the internet..... Any idea guys?
If you don't know City-County FCU.. than most probably its a phishing mail.. don't clik any link in the mail.
Phishing if you do not know it. Better, do not click on any of the link and first thing, delete the email. You can check your accounts by login to them - type the bank url manually and do not click them.
Yeah, I've seen stuff like that a lot. That and people saying that they're going on mission trips and need money or they were scammed some thousands of dollars and want donations. Unless your actual bank contacts you via phone and has your information without you giving it to them, don't ever trust e-mails.
If I received this email the first thing I would do is hit the 'Delete' button. My bank (and many others) only correspond via mail and telephone. Any emails that regard a bacnk account I just delete. I would check with my bank to see what they have to say. If my bacnk have nothing to report I know it's all good!
They sent it to an email address you don't use for your business, and it claims to be from a site you don't have an account with - short of heading it with WE ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY in red letters, you couldn't really have had more clues that it's a phishing scam, now could you
Another dead giveaway unless the link on that email is wrong: the .org domain there...is available for registration.
I haven't seen a bank use cgi before either lol Seriously, if you can't tell this is a scam, and you don't know the difference between a real email and a scam, you need to disconnect the internet now.
If any email from a supposed company does not even know your own name then obviously its phising, next you'll be saying how you've won the nigerian lottery 5 times today, and you havent even bought a ticket !
look at the header of the email - see if it came from the source it says it came from. Do an IP lookup on the sender...
Yes this is a classic phishing email. They a hoping you click the link and fill in your info. Don't do it. If you have a wespack account Contact them by phone and forward the email to there fraud Dept.
unfortunately not all people knows what's real and what's not, not all people are internet savvy. Some may also be new in internet world. That's why we're asking. Stop with your rude posts, if you can't contribute anything good with what the op is asking just stfu.
It is spam- In case any question you should call bank and clarify about email you got it -Do not click any kind of link
