I received a highly stupid and unfair ban on Wikipedia!

Basically, this arsehole of an administrator on Wikipedia had emailed me before the end of 2017 to help me with an abuse investigation, as in abuse of myself. I didn't have to respond, but I genuinely thought he was willing to help me resolve this bothersome issue. However, he denies intentionally editing out a stalker's contributions that were already on Wikipedia...with his own IP address. This was indeed an IP address and not a profile. I was planning to use this to report the user in question to his ISP, because he has knowingly harassed me at multiple sites for quite a number of months.

His edits with that particular IP address are now gone. Before that, he had a few abusive edits. I firmly believe this is his real IP address. I've had no other leads up to this point.

The guy used an IP address linked to either Xtra, or possibly Spark in New Zealand. Now, I doubt very much that it's a proxy server, and he also has multiple banned Wikipedia accounts that he used to edit lots of New Zealand themed articles, even from years ago. That's hardly a coincidence. So when I bookmarked the page, this patrolling moderator then removed the edits he had made, so none appear now. He certainly knows I could have used this in a more constructive report to the authorities, which I suspect Wikipedia personnel want nothing to do with it, in case it falls back on them. The moderator has emailed me several times to ask me about what happened between us, and I responded with helpful and accurate information, even including links to the trolling this loser has subjected me to. So it's likely the moderator is indeed one huge hungry troll as well.

After I saw my account on Wikipedia was banned by that very same moderator earlier tonight, I emailed him to complain, and I never got a reply. Recently, I went and added an unblock appeal because it says blocked users can try that. This was his last reply yesterday. This is arguably entrapment.

This is what he had to say about the user's edits.

As the information fell within our oversight policy, it was suppressed. We routinely remove from revision histories the IPs of editors who accidentally edit while logged out for privacy reasons.

Having said that, we’ll initiate a report to an ISP if an editor routinely abuses Wikipedia.

That user never "accidentally edited" at all. This reply is 100% BS and the guy's edits were to pages I was contributing to, frequently. As in, this guy was intentionally trolling me. This guy that I'm referring to is already a sock puppet master who has harassed me for over 6 months across multiple websites, including Wikipedia (where he was banned long before I was aware of who he is). So why is this moderator protecting him? He has, I don't know how many in total accounts. But I know that he has signed up dozens of accounts at many websites in order to abuse me whenever I post about my acting ambitions. I've had to make my YouTube and IMDb videos private now, as he was annoying me and stealing the videos, because he knows I get parts in films now and then, and I have a filmography listed on IMDb that he also subscribed to. This is rather annoying, as users like to upload a demo reel. I've sent two abuse reports to Xtra and not received a reply. Here is the sock puppets he has used.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Escapement/Archive

And here is my long term account at Wikipedia. I'd edited with this ID for years.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/PeterMan844

Now...you tell me. Where's the disruptive edits being committed on my end? Where's the flames? Hassle? Trolling? Edit conflicts? Etc? I've did none of this, at all. Even with the older accounts I used, where certain moderators were subpoenaed into banning me by the jerks in charge of running this site, you wouldn't really be able to find one inflammatory edit either, just prior to when a gang of similar trolls from this malicious site named Encyclopedia Dramatica went there, and some of them even got moderating power giving to them too, and they used that status to defame me. Then a friend of a Wikipedia user I was pestered by in 2010 had went and started a similar sock puppet investigation about me, hoping I'd get banned in due course.

Granted, I did create multiple IDs too, but that was more so to try to get away from being followed around. So I didn't even break any other rules. Surely now that I'm banned, with access to my talk page revoked too, they'll know my stalker will see that someday soon and chuckle hard. You can also see from the few working links on Encyclopedia Dramatica that I abused no-one, and that the people listed on there across the forums, have been abusing me.

    https:encyclopediadramatica.rs/Grace_Saunders

Bloody ridiculous. I've had people saying to me on other forums that the more I get bent out of shape over this trolling, the more it will happen. But regardless, it's not really a fair deal when I edited on Wikipedia peacefully, and I was quite a practical contributor there as well, so being defamed like I have been for years, is very hurtful. And it does lower my self-esteem a lot, especially when new years should be, well...new, I guess. I've also got mild autism, and I've been rejected by people in real life a lot. So I find I have developed bouts of severe social isolation from being hurt by people. This is why I spend my life going online. It's hardly mentally healthy to be online all day long though, is it?

P.S. I wouldn't recommend anyone replies to @Slurpie; I also took out a link, due to an emoji.

    Hi Johnny,
Thanks for sharing your story. I've looked over the posts you've shared with us and my findings are a bit troubling. It seems like your "appeal" bounces back and forth between not understanding why you were banned and freely admitting to all of the rules you have broken while using their website? Huh, see below.

"All that actually happened was that sneaky users on here were deliberately causing a stir and saying I had multiple IDs"

"Fair enough, I was User:Grace Saunders quite a long time ago. However, I'll safely say I didn't troll anybody with that account, or any other accounts I created either."

See from the account link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Grace_Saunders

"I did flame them on the investigation page, more so in retaliation"

"I've also kept within the rules here at Wikipedia for the most part, apart from when..."

    "so I don't get why I'm banned"

As the Wikipedia administrator stated on the appeal you shared, you are already circumventing bans there for multiple IDs, which is against their rules, so I'm not sure what there is to be confused about. In your appeal, you also openly admit to flaming and other rule-breaking from your previous IDs while at the same time claiming you don't know why you've been banned. It all seems clear cut to me, mate. The rules are the rules and, judging by the information you provided us, you seem to have broken them quite a few times. From my experience, these Wikipedia moderators and administrators are definitely the full shilling, professional, and on top of their game. Kudos to them for keeping their community in order.

All of this information is admitted by you in the links you've provided to our forum. I sympathize with you because I also suffer from anxiety and other conditions I'm not comfortable talking about on here yet, but when you break the rules, it is better to just accept that and learn from what happened, and try to do better next time. We all make mistakes but we must hold ourselves accountable at all times. In your appeal, you are admitting to those mistakes but still seem to have a hard time wrapping your mind around why you are not welcome there. I understand the frustration, but it looks like it would be best to simply move on. It's not healthy to fixate on these things.

One other thing that troubles me is that one of the links you posted is a forum that is filled with a number of explicit pictures and animated pornography images. It seems to be a "romance" site but it is NSFW so it should not be posted here. I would like to request that a moderator remove the link and close this post. We should not be sharing links to pornography sites on this board, right?

Right, so anyway, I'm sorry for your troubles but it looks like your Wikipedia ban is justified and I am a little concerned for the explicit links you are sharing on here. All of the information about your ban is right there. Sorry, mate, but it looks like they have good reason.

I have heard of a few similar cases so far. Wikipedia administrators can be quite subjective. I do not have an account there and have had no issues with them personally but my friends did have, unfortunately.
