I still don't get it - or did I miss out on something ? - how did you know about this click ( or clicks ) ? I guess you clicked on your own ad ( once or probably multiple times ) and google counted it as invalid click.
It must be a CPM ad. Do one thing. Go to Advanced reports. Select show data by Individual Ad. Check (tick) "Show data by targeting type - contextual or site". Select the channel the click came from. Select group by channel and click on "Display Report". This will tell you how many clicks in this channel were from site targeting and how many were contextual.
This will tell you the number of impressions you've gotten on CPM ads, but not whether or not any clicks were worth anything. Mine has never shown any clicks in the Site row, but does show impressions. It would seem odd that no one has ever clicked on a CPM ad, but if someone has, I wonder if it would show up as a click on the Site line or if it would be in the Contextual line?
i get about 10 $0.00 cliks per month average. And im not cliking so i imagine those are lousy payed cliks/junk cliks.
Another possibility is these may be low paying amounts - say 1/2 cent or less per click. I have wondered if Google has discounts for large advertisers that might create fractional clicks that show up as revenue only when they combine to one cent or more.
Okay I went into advanced reports and that day I only received that one click and it is under "site" and not contextual. What does this mean? And no, whoever suggested it... I don't click on my own ads.
It was a "per view" ad, which means you get credit for it being viewed. It was one that was targeted at your site not one that was based upon your content (contextual)
