Hi i really need your opinion in a question for my online shop about conversion rate From 1st january until now (10 march 2016) I have 1958 "add to cart" with only 600 completed transactions I really need your opinion if this is normal or there is something serious with my website. I know you will ask about everything depends on product but if i can get as much opinions as i could i would take an idea if there is something wrong. Just to tell you my products are start from 14.5 and goes up to 150 I have free shipping over 50 but customers strugle to pay fro 50 and the average conversion is 30 I would like to hear your opinion and your experience to get help Oh and the traffic comes from adwords - facebook - organic traffic. From 1st january - until 10 March i had 75.000 visitors traffic with a bounche rate 40% What i am trying to do is Increase conversion Boost sales Lower cart abandonment And all the stuff every ecommerce owner wants to do Please advise
I'm a buyer rather than an ecommerce site owner but I regularly go to eastbay, lululemon etc and set up a cart, find out how much the international shipping is and abandon - or move everything to a wishlist
Do you have a way of allowing visitors to one-click register with Facebook or Twitter? This can allow users to quickly register their interest with your service to re-target at a later time. Does your cart provide a way for users to Save their cart until later? And are you tracking this activity? It may or may not be your shipping prices (depending on what these are) it could be many things. Do you charge conditional taxation rates or any other dynamic charges?
I have flat shipping cost 5 euro on all orders under 50 euro - free shipping on orders above 50 euro - plus 2 euro for paying the order when the customers receive the order by a courier. - i am in a country were internet users does not use very often credit cards and i am selling a very new product for this country. My question what should i try to lower cart abandoment? The only way i found is using big sale and using scarcity the same time. What if i tell you that before a year i had lower shipping rate now 5 last year 3,5 and the conversion dropped a little bit I can tell you now its better because i get much higher sales (average order) because visitors want to have free shipping this forces them to buy more. As my experience until now its not very good to have prices lower than 34.5 , beacause most of the people would like to buy 14.5 prices , then they see that there is a shipping cost and abandon Tell me what you think

This will remind them that they have something in their cart. You can also give them a coupon code. Team Name of company Call potential customers - Calling can be really helpful. You can directly call your customers and ask them what went wrong and why they didn't complete the purchase. Bounce Rate can be improved by changing some minor design of the pages which are getting heavy traffic. As you mentioned, you have 1958 potential leads who added a product to cart but only 600 converted. I will recommend nurturing such prospects and help them to make a purchase on your website. Thank you for your time and for your message. Unfortunately all the abandoners do not create any user account so i cannot send the email somewhere. I am really dont know what to do , i see spending 100-150 euros just to receive 600 euros ( believe me this is not much when you have tax - products and all the stuff a business has to pay) The only thing i am looking right now is to increase organic traffic and looking to build a high converting email marketing funnel)
I guess you have to analyse why potential customers don't complete the sale. lack of confidence in online shopping? lack of confidence in your site - too amateur? too gaudy? too complicated? lack of confidence in your payment processor? your product just isn't appealing enough? your competitors are better known and equal in price?
