come to first page with out even any content, this site is just for example
Copy And Paste thebackpacker.net/destinations/peru/lima-region/miraflores (Nothing personal with this site )
Are 1000s of sites like this with only ads and nothing more at first pages of all search engines ...

I understand the frustration but this can be the case for certain domains that have age on there side and also remember that google crawlers love old sites. Old sites were easier to crawl and looked very good from the crawlers point of view. Their are ways to beat them you just need to research more on them and the site.

    Hello,

This is because they have many other sites linking to theirs, usually link farms. But most of the time they get their site ban sooner or later...

It's a old site, sitting there for years. It was tons of backlinks, authority. look this guy is a adsense premium publisher. Many times age of a page/website matters in google.

36,000 links total provides for a lot of anchor text. 6,000+ inbound links gives it a bit of juice.

A casual look suggests that this began as a smallish personal site that was later acquired and turned into what it is now (somewhere around 2006). If correct, then a lot of those 6k inbounds probably harken back to a day when the site actually offered something meaningful.

This points to the advantage of acquiring an aged domain. If done correctly all that old link juice can be retained.

I thing some how this must change !
Is not useful for nobody and especially for visitors is just west of time....
What's the point to make a quality website then?
If all search engines work like this.

Sooooo If you were writing a search engine how would YOU rank pages? I think Google does a great job of showing exactly what you are looking for 99.99% of the time... Far better than any of the other engines... But none of them are perfect.

So this particular site falls into that 0.01 percent where they don't... but there were 9 other links on the 1st page. I doubt that EVERY one of them are similar to the situation you described. Sorry it happened for a keyword your interested in ranking for.

Google has, without a doubt, the best algorithm on the planet for ranking pages at the moment IMO. In general, it relies on other sites to tell them what a particular URL on a particular site is about. Can the system be "worked"? Sure... at least for a while. Eventually though they usually fix whatever is broken and then SEOs will start "working the system" from a different angle.

As far as "What's the point of making a quality website then?"... quality is a relative thing... you may feel your website is a quality website... others may thing the guy at position 743 is the best for your space... or the one at position 156. Most people think that their site is better than those that rank well. Your feelings are not that uncommon.

All I can say is do it because you love it... Learn how the game is played (links! links! links!) and beat those ranking now at their own game if you truely want to be in the game!

Sort of makes you question the whole "content is king" philosophy, sometimes it seems like backlinks are king. Course I bet that site doesn't get alot of return visitors and with good content you will get more natural links.

What search term are we talking about here? Obviously, there isn't much competition for whatever search term it is.
