I rank for images but not in the pages ? ? ??

I am on the first page for all these great keywords but it is only if you click to view the images search on G.

Its for all of my sites ?? ? I dont get it if all the traffic just used the images search i would be in the money . . . for example " business " my image is on the first page of image search but NO WHERE in the search pages. Some one please explain

 

Well that just means you have good keywords on your images.

Also if you use alt tags etc those all play a roll. It's usually easy to rank high in google images because no one really tries hard to rank high in the images.

 

so how can i get the same results for my text ?

 

Well unlike images a lot of ranking high in google can't be done on your site.

To rank well in google you need other sites linking to yours using a keyword. For example say you site is about "Potato Chips" and I had a link on my site to yours and the anchor text was "Potato Chips" then google will see that and say okay lets rank his site higher in our search results. Getting a lot of links on other sites isn't always easy, but it is a big part when it comes to ranking well.

HEY ! also while we are still on the google subject . .. you know their webmaster area ? Its really picked up and I like using it now for example they will tell you where you rank and for what. BUT you have to personally verify your sites, so say you verify a few sites that link together do you think that is something that will be frowned upon ?

 

I hope you're not trying to jump in the deep end and rank high for a keyword like 'business'...

 

LOL . . . it doesnt matter to me what keywords i get found for i just want traffic and was surprised to see i was on the first page for images but not any where to be found in the search engines

but i basically own the domain name business . . . i just have one other word in there and that is investments . . . i just havent done anything with the domain but now that i us WP it is easier and alot of my websites i havent got around to i am able to do something with . . . so WATCH OUT AT THE TOP ! cause here i come

 

I don't think that you put any effort to get on the top for image search. But this wont happen in case of page to be indexed on the top. You need to do little hard work..

1. Find out all the main and important traffic generating keywords for your website.
2. Optimize your website for those keywords.
3. Get some quality and relevant backlinks for your website.

If follow these three major principle you will surely get top ranking in Google.

 

sounds good .. . the only thing i didnt do is get back links . .. i link to my sites from other sites of mine that are relevant BUT I HATE trying to kiss someones @$$ to get a back link LOL

 

Getting free non reciprocal and quality backlinks is the key but it is not an easy task and you need to do it other and other again!
