Some time ago I wrote a post about Rapid share. You can find the post here: http://www.jakobdk.com/how-to-search-rapid-share/ Now according to Kewword elite, I rank as number 5 when you do a search on google for rapid share. When I do a search on google myself, I rank as nr. 7. I would really like to know why I got such a good place on this word. rapid share is used in the ulr, in the title, as a link, and repeted 2 times in the post. Then rapidshare (without spare) is used two times as well. Is this just the magic numbers for getting a good place, or have I done anything special which I just have not realized yet? Anyone..
This is very normal and from the looks of it you are starting to gain Google trust as your blog is starting to age. That's the great thing about WordPress, after a few months its a lot easier to start ranking higher for all sorts of keywords.
It has a lot to do with competition for the phrase in question, "rapidshare" is the correct phrase, whereas "rapid share" is not, and therefore not as competitive. Also the opening link to rapidshare.com in your article uses the anchor text of "rapid share". Note the space in the anchor. On these two things alone it appears to be enough to rank for "rapid share".
Shonky hit the nail on the head. allintitle:rapidshare - 1.3 Million results allintitle:rapid share - 16,100 results allinanchor:rapidshare - 250,000 results allinanchor:rapid share - 14,700 results allinurl:rapidshare - 782,000 results allinurl:rapid share - 9,550 results "rapidshare" - 24.5 Million results "rapid share" - 873,000 results As you can see, having the space is considerably easier to rank for then the non-space version.
Gongrats mate! You're doing very well and it's possible you will rank high for a lot of keywords. Keep writing articles and keep us updated. Good luck!
Wow, thanks for all the feedback! This is great! Somre really usefull info here. I had never thought that a single "space" could do so much. Sweetfunny, these numbers are interesting! I think I gonna do some more keyword analyzing from now on.
