Alright f*** it. Yahoo just raised all the minimum bids by 3X as much on my best keywords. Google never did this s*** to me. On top of that, it seems yahoo is inconsistent in their keyword pricing..read my post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=879048 Right after i paid them too. My question is, how do you deplete the remaining money in your account without getting charged again? it seems impossible since there needs to be a credit card on the account..
Well, i wrote yahoo: Hello, I am very unhappy with YSM for a number of reasons and would like to cancel my account...the only problem is that i wan't to deplete the money (that i spent) before i quit but am unable to because of the fact that you guys charge me every time my balance comes to a certain point (part of the reason i am quitting) . How do i set it so that you guys don't keep charging me..? I just wan't to use the rest of the money in my account and be done with it. Thanks, Unhappy Customer
The only thing you can do is to turn off (deactivate) your ads. Look for "Sponsored Search Account Status" in the administration tab...set it to "off".
Mine is prepaid and what I did (quite by accident) was originally have a card that was debited as my balance got low. I then cancelled that card with my bank and was issued another (obviously with different details on the card) ... I keep my cancelled card as my default in Yahoo, so when it gets low, they can't automatically take money out of my bank. I then manually make a payment via a different card in my Yahoo account - one that works. Yahoo only attempt to use my default card (which the bank cancelled at my request), so the only time they get my money is when I opt to give them it.
like Babarpapa said, all you need to do is write to them, and ask for it to be set to prepaid. That way you can always go back to them at some point in the future (maybe when google screws you over with another policy change), without shutting down your whole account.
