On my personal blog I make nothing. My other sites make $XX to $X,XXX per day.

To the guy who gave me a neutral rating saying it's against the TOS to reveal my Google income, that is false. You are allow to tell what Google pays you and show your page views. You just can't tell the click rate and CPC rate or any other information however.

Yes you should, you cannot reveal the CTR or no. of clicks. Edit it now before somebody notices and notifies google.

Joomla has a built in article module. You shouldn't need to install any other mods. Just click on "Add New Content" from the Home Control Panel.

I don't envision Laptop Gamer making x,xxx per day. Nothing is impossible but the amount of work it will take to get to that level is a move I really don't want to take at this time.

In the end, it all comes down to site traffic and how good you are at driving it. Most big site rely on interactivity to help drive traffic. The TechZone has both a forum and an image gallery that accounts for half of its traffic. If those were not there the site would lose more than half its traffic because many users visit the site because of the forums, and visa versa.

i had a forum over on my side and i used to see activity going on, but now its worse than a ghost town. How do you manage to keep people coming, considering that in a forum, the interaction tend to be from within the community.

Having a main site that gets a ton of traffic helps. Best way is to use the main site to plug about the forum and ask readers to join in the talks. You are right about interaction being the key to a forum. In the beginning, you will have to keep this interaction going. Either get some friends together and start posting, or create a bunch of fake accounts and talk to yourself. Eventually, you'll have some real members join you.

Yes, and why did you stop updating the site on May 26, 2006 as it shows promise? Is it still doing well regardless?
