Talking about Links Position, Moto has placed the ads and other affiliate programs on his laptopgamer website very celeverly. Seems like he has put a lot of work into this website. No wonder his CTR is good.

Is there any suitable template to mimic Moto design for more higher CTR. I think Moto makes lot of CTR because of the higher traffic flows to his website. The more flows you can get the higher CTR you might get.

    It's a vice versa theorem...

I am a little new to joomla, while i was checking your website, one article or news is spread over 4 to 5 pages, like one for review then one page for pricing etc.

How did you manage that? Is there an inbuilt option for that ?

Its Search Engine Friendly(SEF) URLs. It is basically for implementing Mod Rewrite on Joomla. It impersonates your PHP pages URLs(which are long with session IDs and everything) to be an HTML page, and thus helps you r website to have better SERPs.

Great job Moto! It's not every day that a new site reaches such high numbers. If you are willing to share, I would like to know which Adsense ad spot, you have found work the best for the site.

Does the Skyscraper to the left actually perform as good as the Adsense heatmap says it should?

sumitbahl - You make multi page articles using the {mospagebreak} command. Just add {mospagebreak} where you want to start a new page and Joomla will auto do it for you.

Crusader - Based on the results of the last week (Feb 12-18) The number 1 performing ad spot was the 160 skyscrapter, follow by the Adlink, then the 336 inline banner. They are all within a few dollars of each other and, depending on the day, any unit can take the #1 spot.

We put up a brand new site today with a friend. Let's see if we can get anywhere close...
    :)
First day: Ads not targetted at all. Still some clicks occur.

Hey Moto, I think it's a great idea to share your success and part of your strategies with us here. That's what I miss most in forums and the current society of AdSense gangsters. Everyone keeps their very "uebergolden" secrets on how and why their earn $$$ a day - but it's just not funny to hear those stories. I wish more people would share what they've learnt with their projects. There's enough for everyone! (At least for most things).

I am the creator of WhatIsThatFile.com and I am having just the same problem as most people here,
I think it's a great website, but I have a hard time trying to keep my 500 uniques a day. Adsense income
has (!!!) increased from under a buck a day to around a buck a day. How poor is that? Anyway, I am
    hoping and working on it.

    pixads - Good luck!

rommanmittermayr - Thanks. I'll be sure to post the month end results. It's been very interesting so far. I think with 500 uniques, you should be able to do more than a dollar a day.

Due to some unforseen matter, my performance on unique hits is not stable enough. Some day there're plenty enough, but the other's day no one will come by. What do you think happen to my site? Is't because of poor advertising or poor information?

Many time my Adsense is not reflect my content. I wonder how can that happen?

This is a little update on the Laptop Gamers case study. Google just finished their Page Rank (PR) updated. Laptop Gamers went from PR0 to PR5! Not bad for a site that’s been up a little over a month. :)
