Just remove it man. If the video of the celebrity was made obviously that celeb acted in it right? Then that's her standard. Don't forget, they're rich and half of them are half crazy. Don't waste your mind power and money.

When you deal with celebrity, anime, or other stuff like this. If you are contacted by a legitamate lawyer, or person for a celebrity. REGARDLESS of where it's hosted, or what it is. Just remove it and move on.

Unless you plan to call their bluff, then it's best to comply, and move along. While they may not sue you, they can make your online life uncomfortable if you persist. Much like they did with piratebay.

Unless you are planning to go the distance, regardless if hosted on your site, or someone else's. You just remove it. Most of these types of e-mails are few and fr between in the first place. But would, or should come, as a C&D and from an official lawyer's firm where you can CALL THEM.

I know sometimes you will get these jokers contacting you who made the scan, or vidclip. For those people you just laugh. But if legit, just resolve it.

I've dealt with this before myself. I wanna say maybe a dozen times in 10 years. Once you remove whatever they ask. They leave you alone, and you go back to business.

    The end.

A cease and desist is the step they take before they decide to take further action against you..

If you receive a cease and desist by email, just delete it and enjoy the rest of your day.

Not a judge in the world will accept an email cease and desist as proof or warning as emails can be easily forged. (if anyone can prove otherwise then by all means please post it here I would be interested to find out)

If you receive a cease and desist by registered post, then take it a little more seriously and consult a lawyer becasue it could also be a prank bt then again it may be legit.

Just take the clip down if you feel its a legit request.
