Darnit. I few months back I was about to register iphonereviews.net. I hesitated... and an hour later it was gone. Now it is just an ad landing page. Gotta strike while the iron is hot!!! =)
I did a search on google for iphone forum because I thought that might be a decent area but once again taken. There was a forum with thousands of members already that hadn't been around that long. Amazing!
My friend got more than $5 on the releasing day of the iPhone from his iPhone related topic in his site.
I think its just possible to find an excellent iphone niche and focus on it instead of general iphone. Thats probably what I am going to do. Just brainstorming a little.
I stopped working on my iPhone blog/forum site about a month ago.. just noticed that it is still making some pocket change each day though! However, the iPhone doesn't appear to be a very high paying niche CPC wise, would probably be better off promoting some sort of an affiliate offer.
I think an affiliate site with Amazon and adsense combined would be good in the future, but I think your right. Right now the benefits aren't being reaped yet because there isn't many accessories out for it and people aren't really bidding on those keywords yet!
If I were anyone focusing on iphone it would be for the accessories that I would focus. Like sleeves, holsters, covers, ringtones. I think its virtually endless but its gonna be here to stay for a while.
